Known issues

Known issues with vanilla kernels are as follows:
  • Some drivers have no or imperfect power management support.
Some of these issues have work-arounds available: check the FAQs for details. For known issues with TuxOnIce itself, please check the mailing list archives.

Hardware support

You may have hardware that does not support power management events sufficiently well (or at all). In this case, the best option (if possible) is to compile the drivers for the hardware as modules and unload them before hibernating.
